Perth Council Partners with Vision Intelligence for Proactive Video Monitoring

Problem

From Passive Surveillance to Active Site Security

The Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC), a regional local government working on behalf of four Member Councils in Perth, required support to monitor solar-powered surveillance cameras that had been independently purchased for their Red Hill Waste Management Facility. EMRC needed a reliable monitoring solution to enhance security and ensure swift incident response. While Vision Intelligence already provides fully integrated solar-powered surveillance systems with remote monitoring, the client and Vision Intelligence identified an opportunity to leverage existing camera hardware to enable remote video monitoring via Vision Intelligence’s ASIAL-accredited in-house monitoring service, Vision Protect.

Solution

Connecting Existing Infrastructure for Smarter Security

Through Vision Intelligence Protect, the customer was able to seamlessly migrate their existing camera feeds into Vision Intelligence’s dedicated monitoring facility. A successful integration has provided EMRC with greater security assurance, transforming its existing camera infrastructure from a retrospective system into a proactive one. By combining the latest in monitoring technology with trained Vision Intelligence staff monitoring 24/7, the integration enables early detection and intervention to prevent issues before they occur. This enhanced capability has improved operational visibility and strengthened security protocols across EMRC’s Red Hill Waste Management Facility, supporting safer outcomes for workers and the surrounding community.
