End-to-End Surveillance that Turned Detection into Apprehension in Minutes

A leading owner and manager of industrial properties was experiencing frequent intruders at one of its Australian sites after hours, including teenagers entering the property to film content for social media. The site’s proximity to a local school increased the likelihood of further incidents and created ongoing risks, including vandalism, property damage, theft, workplace health and safety concerns, and potential liability.

Security guards had been trialled for approximately six weeks, but the trespassing continued. Guard patrols were limited by timing and line of sight, leaving opportunities for intruders to enter through blind spots or during gaps in coverage.

The covert wireless units provided early movement detection across the property, while the overt camera supplied live imagery and video for visual verification. When the system generated an alert, trained Command Centre operators could assess the activity, track intruders and escalate verified incidents with supporting evidence.

Two weeks post-deployment, the system detected movement at 10:33 pm. Within seconds, operators visually confirmed three intruders on the property. The Command Centre continued tracking their movements and contacted police within minutes, providing detailed descriptions and video evidence to support the response. Police later confirmed that all three intruders had been apprehended.
